Great place gd food

The food was phenomenal and the portions for the price. I will definitely visit again when I am in hickory. Their salsa bar was great, especially for a group that has varied taste. I was able to find flavors that complimented my meal nicely.

Our usual go to place, since Pancho Villa closed on Springs Road. Usually have good service, but last few times it's gotten really sorry. They can never get my friends order right. Or the drinks, I mean how hard is it to make a glass of Coke, NOT diet Coke. This happens almost Every time we go. And then our food she always ask for shredded beef and repeats it to them. Maybe 1 in five times they actually get it right. So today she ordered shredded beef and the lady repeated it and guess what she got. Shredded chicken. She ate it to avoid having to wait for them to redo it. So we were just sitting there talking and the lady that brings our chips came over and took our glasses away. Can you say Rude....... They were not busy didn't need the table. So I Don understand why we were being rushed. I'll think twice about going back anytime soon. Needless to say her tip was not as good as usual.

For real?! I ordered burrito...steak burrito..From Chi town originaly...are the Mexicans who can make a real burrito only in Mexico and Chicago...moved to Fl 10 month ago hadn't had a dissent take out since.. thought NC is better...guess not!

My experience at Rancho Viejo was great. The decor was so unique and the lunch menu has so many selections. The guacamole is made fresh at your table served in a granite bowl. You cannot find many authentic Mexican restaurants with consistent service and food. Carlos was an awesome waiter. The Dos Taquitos fill you up. Definitely will be back.

Food portions here are huge, enough to split most plates. The salsa bar offers a huge and delicious selection. There are everyday good and drink specials that are always amazing. The service is quick and they are very accommodating to large parties.

Very good food! Very good customer service. The servers refilled our drinks without us having to ask and made sure our food was good and cooked right. Definitely recommend

Service was horrible. Pretty sure they didn't want us there. I watched as a server touched the INSIDE of every bar glass he put away and was sooo happy I was driving and did not get my customary margarita! The food was ok but didn't make up for the poor service and hygiene. Just skip this one........

Great food and good selection. They use to have a problem with the staff adjusting the tips in the bills to pay themselves more, so watch your charges on your account. This was a few years ago but we still always check.

Nice restaurant! In a good location and has nice atmosphere. Got very busy for dinner, the service was pretty good. The Margaritas were great and fairly inexpensive. The food was also good, although not great.

Not impressed. We will be going back to El Paso. Fajitas are supposed to come out hot and sizzling....not here. Looked like everything was cooked in a cast iron skillet....then reheated in the microwave. Still have no clue what I ordered. Mine was a complete mystery. Cheese sauce is supposed to be thick and yummy. Not here....so watered down it would not coat the back of a spoon. Looked like watery cheese soup...never again.

I really like that they are taking COVID serious and the are giving contactless options like QR menus. Unlike other places their quality hasn't decrease. Amazing as always.

Even during social distancing this was the ONE restaurant that I would support... they are clean and delicious... It is my favorite place, I look forward to my weekly visit! 10 outta 10 every time! Service and food... they are amazing ❤️

Very good. Ask for Blanco sauce... it's the best and they used to automatically give it but now you have to ask.

Great food, great service, there was an unruly group a few tables down from us, the waitress handled it very well, but the woman just could not be satisfied. Other than that it was a good visit. If you're like that woman. STAY HOME.

Food was great and they have taken measures to ensure safety during the pandemic... including using blow up dolls to keep seating spaced out. A cute touch.

Waiter was horrible, food is ok. Our visit on Dec 16th was bad. Waiter made alot of mistakes. Ordered our standard childrens plate, which another person came back changing it even though it was same thing ordered multiple times. Ordered shells buttered grilled, waiter noded with a wave of his hand which I found odd, so i repeated it so he would write it down; he noded again, didnt write anything doen. Asked for no beans no rice, he once again seemingly dismissed what was being said. Food came out, even with corrections to child plate, it was wrong. My shells where plain, bean juice all over the lettuce etc. By the time they corrected the childs plate just wasnt worth it to correct anything else. Manager just said sorry and left it at that, just seemed brushed off like the waiter did when explaining the order. Ill attach photo of server named on receipt. May be ok if you can get a waiter that listens.

Christmas dinner with co workers, absolutely great wait staff. Food was delicious and we had an awesome time!

Above average Mexican restaurant. Worth the detour off the I40. Located in a safe location with plenty of parking and seating. Huge selection of food. I had the pork burrito. I am a big fan of carnitas. Delicious.

The waiter was excellent! He didn't rush us, which was exactly what we were needing. A relaxed, non-rushed night out. And the food was excellent!!

This place is great. There food is wonderful, the staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I had the chicken taco salad. There had to be 2 whole Brest in it there was so much. You always get more than you can eat.

This restaurant deserves business. We looked for the highest rated Mexican restaurant with the most reviews and found Rancho Viejo. We received great service. Shrimp cocktail was fresh and had the perfect amount of avocado! Tacos a la Diabla had wonderful flavor and were very hot! (My boyfriend couldn't handle but I really liked it.) Restaurant was very clean and available tables are distanced properly. Highly recommend. Thank you Rancho Viejo staff for being there and adapting to current regulations. I wish you all the best of luck getting through this.

Love the decor, the tables, and unique chairs and romantic lighting. If you prefer, there are booths with nice tables, also. The food is so delicious. Upon request you can have guacamole made as you watch while sitting at your table!

Terrific service and affordable food. Generally, locally-owned Mexican restaurants have bargain prices compared to American chain restaurants, and this is definitely the case here.Also, the food is just delicious. They do offer a salsa bar, but their menu is really the star of the show. Salmon or steak for less than $15? Yes, please. If you're indecisive, go for their diy combination plate.You can't go wrong here. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
